There are some very bad people out there who are looking for the home address of your last customer or your waiter. The safest alternative is to not have the data accessible by anyone, not even you.

We secure the data and only provide access if there is a valid public emergency.

Case Study: Offering a 5% coupon on their next visit can incentivize them to engage and opt-in to your mailing list. Creating loyalty and opportunities to serve your customers.

As long as you setup your free contact-tracing account while we are giving it away free, and you are activly using your free contact-tracing account, you will never be charged.

FAQ

Question & Answer

No. There are some restaurant owners who feel they can use contact-tracing information for marketing, but this is highly unethical. Additionally, it will make customers uncomfortable and unwilling, which defeats the cause.

Due to this, the data on the contact tracing will not be accessible to anyone, not even to our support staff.

The data can only be provided if there is a valid exposure, a public safety issue, or if it is requested by the DOH with a valid purpose.

You will have access to your marketing list separately from the contact-tracking database. The marketing list contacts must give their clear and explicit consent.

The current method is pen and paper, stored in a drawer in case there is an exposure, or if they need to provide this information to the state.

People, especially parents, are uncomfortable with pen and paper contact tracing. Because of this, most people write down incomplete or false information. They don't want that creep who has been eyeing their daughter to find out where they live. However, this defeats the purpose.

The purpose of contact-tracing is to stop the spread of further exposures at the source. It may be necessary for them to contact you to inform you that you are exposed, at risk and need to stay home for a bit.

We originally made this tool to help our local community. Giving it away free was the quickest way to encourage more restaurants to use it.

However, there were unintended benefits that come from it as well. People are impressed and we expect additional services will be acquired by them.

In order to make sure that the public and business community continues to use this tool, we intend to keep it free. We may add additional features in the future that may have additional costs due to the cost to build and maintain them. But those will all be optional and will not impact the core of the tool.

Long story short, it is free because we want to help and we intend to keep it free for as long as contact tracing is needed.

Absolutely not! The whole point of this tool is to take that option away. This is why we don’t store contact tracing data longer than 60 days, and we don’t even let our general employees have access to the data.

It is possible for customers to share their contact information with a mailing list if they wish to do so. However, our rules require that permission be concise and clear. As a reward, you can offer a discount or freebie. Several customers will opt-in and appreciate the trade. Data collected from customers cannot be sold and must be used accordingly with their consent.

In the event of a public emergency, a valid exposure, or public safety issue, data may be used to alert those who have been exposed and may be at risk, under the instruction of DOH and CDC guidelines.

Very easy. Be upfront, honest, and build the value of being on the marketing list.

We have found the best success of building a list is by offering a small reward for opting in. After the contact tracing information has been collected, make your offer.

Example: "Would you like to receive 5% off your next visit by opting into our mailing list?"

If they reply with "yes", we will collect their email address and add it to a Google Sheet that only you have access to. We will put a time and date stamp of when they gave permission. We will also check against this list so that your customers are not offered the same offer after they already opt in.

We have some creative flows that people are using. Our favorites are:
- A waitlist manager where customers can add their name to the waitlist and receive a text message when their table is ready.
- A quick checkout portal for customers to pay their bill at the table on their own.
- An interactive menu where the customer can order food right from their phone.
- An all-you-can-eat setup where customers can order additional plates without going over the per item threshold.

We are also working on a vaccine card verification so that once customers are verified, they won't have to show their vaccine cards again.

Follow your local CDC guidelines and reach out to us immediately.
